Books and Brunch with Ella: Dafina Showcase
===============================================
NOTICE CHANGE IN EVENT LOCATION!!
Meet us at The Carolina Kitchen Bar & Grill. Founding Farmers notified me that they can not seat all 45 of us for brunch. We are moving to the Carolina Kitchen Bar & Grill in Hyattsville, Maryland. This is located 3 blocks from the "Green line" metro and about 8 miles from the original location. This is a better location as far as parking is concerned! Park in the parking deck, across from the movies, and not on the street. Validate your ticket in the grill.

We want to introduce you to the wonderful books released this season. All we ask is that you go back and tell 10 people about the books!
The name Dafina has a special resonance, being Swahili for an “unexpected gift.” Dafina Books, an imprint of Kensington since September 2000, Dafina Books publishes over 70 books a year, both fiction and nonfiction, in hardcover, trade paperback, and mass market paperback formats. The imprint targets African American readers as well as those interested in a mix of genres and styles reflecting the black experience. As Dafina has grown and changed, so has the readership. Many novels are “multicultural,” reflecting the world of readers—especially younger readers in the teens, twenties, and early thirties. While Dafina started with books targeting adults, they're now the proud publishers of young adult fiction too!
